Press Release: Cerberus Tech joins the SRT Alliance

Southampton, UK, April 27, 2021 – Cerberus Tech has today announced its new membership to the SRT Alliance. The SRT Alliance is an open-source initiative dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming through the open source SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol.

This membership announcement follows the recent launch of Cerberus Tech’s latest interoperable, protocol agnostic IP solutions. The IaaS live delivery platform Livelink, which allows users to self-manage live feeds from any location, and the software-based live IP video switching application, IO.

The SRT Alliance was founded by Haivision in April 2017, its objective is to overcome the challenges of low-latency, live streaming through the development of SRT, an open source video transport protocol that allows users to deliver high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.

Cerberus Tech joins more than 450 existing members, working to accelerate the adoption of IP delivery and encourage innovation through collaborative development.

Its IO switching application allows for seamless switching between delivery protocols. IO can be scaled to unlimited outputs and used within a device, data centre or cloud environment.
